Library Resources

Our students have free access to the American Library thanks to a partnership with the ALP. The Library has one of the largest collections of English language books and periodicals in Continental Europe.  It is open seven days a week for more hours than other libraries in France.  The library has over 65,000 volumes in its collections and adds 1,000 to 2,000 new titles every year. 

Paris is one of the world's great bibliographic centers.  Not only is it home to the Bibliothèque Nationale François Mitterand (BNF) but also to an impressive array of special collections, archives and documents in a range of languages.  ESLSCA students can take advantage of these very specialized research materials which scholars from around the world come to Paris to consult.  For example, they may consult the Bibliothèque Publique d'Information of the Centre Georges Pompidou which is open every day of the week except Tuesdays.
