Orientation Mentor Program

To help new international students through their orientation to their programs of study, the school, and the city of Paris, we provide orientation mentors. These mentors are usually senior students who have already experienced the challenges and opportunities arising from studying at ESLSCA and living in Paris.

Each orientation mentor usually advises about 10 incoming students. The role of a mentor is to answer any questions new students may have about the school and the city and to provide a basic level of assistance during the transition period. Mentors usually

• Recommend off-campus housing possibilities
• Assist new international students in obtaining a French Residency Card (la Carte de Séjour)
• Assist new international students in enrolling in a health insurance plan
• ntroduce the public transportation system
• Assist students in opening bank accounts
• Recommend facilities for sports and other leisure activities
