Our School F Bartsch is a theatre improviser and management trainer. He teaches improvisational, team building and communication skills for international companies all over France, at European theatre festivals, and at various Parisian theatre schools such as the Impro Academy which he founded in 1999. Mr. Bartsch has also created the company "The Improfessionals", with which he regularly performs. His research and work experience in French, English and German at the UN-FAO in Rome, at the ESCP-EAP Business School in Paris, as well as in Nigeria, south-east Asia, and Europe have enriched his cross-cultural experience. He studied Philosophy, Physical Education and Geography at the University of Freiburg ( Germany) and graduated in Geography and Socio-Economic Development from the University of Paris IV – Sorbonne. C CAESAR has developed the English language component of the ESLSCA Pre-Masters Certificate which now includes academic writing, research techniques and an oral skills course, Paris Discovery. She has twice received the Outstanding Professor Award for her Pre-Masters courses. In 2006 she will complete a doctorate in Comparative Literature at the University of Paris III – La Sorbonne Nouvelle, and continue teaching writing, translation, public speaking and phonetics at the American University of Paris, the Institut Supérieur d’Interprétation et de Traduction, and the Institut Catholique. She enjoys English, American, French and Russian novels, doing literary translation, films, and intercultural studies. E Castelli is an investment banker and currently teaches financial markets at ESLSCA. She was transferred to the Paris office of Natwest Markets in 1991, and later joined the Groupe Caisses des Dépôts as Head of Equities Sales. Latterly, she has served as the Managing Director and Head of French Equities for Bankers Trust. Professor Castelli received the 2005 Outstanding Professor Award at ESLSCA in the category of new MBA courses. She has a BA from Sussex University (UK), a MSc. from the London School of Economics ( UK), and a PhD from American Pacific University (USA). In addition to teaching, Elisabetta consults companies on their investor relations. L Clavère is a consultant in the field of international marketing and communications. She has acquired a solid experience in marketing and communications , mainly in the information technologies sector , in over 20 years of work experience in Europe and in the USA. Prior to starting her consulting practice in Paris, she held marketing positions at Palm Inc. at senior level. Ms. Clavère has also worked as an international marketing consultant in the USA and has spent 13 years at Apple Computer invarious senior-level corporate communications positions. Throughout her career she has managed projects and programs integrating all aspects of marketing, and in particular product positioning and launching, public relations, events management, loyalty programs and e-marketing. Born and educated in France, Laurence has graduated from the University of Paris – Sorbonne ESIT and holds a MA in Linguistics from the University of Paris Sorbonne. H Darabian is a management consultant specializing in strategy, organization and innovation ,mostly within the process and biotechnology industries. He has worked in Canada and in Europe in the electronic and chemical as well as the consulting industries. Throughout his non-consulting career he has worked at W.R. Grace, UNISYS and NCR, which has been complemented by a consultant career at Cap Gemini and CMC (currently Mercer Delta) , before launching his own consulting practice. Mr. Darabian holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University (USA) as well as an MASc from the University of Waterloo ( Canada) also in Electrical Engineering, and an MBA from INSEAD (France). C Fonteneau teaches French Language and Culture at ESLSCA and in specialized language schools based in Paris. She has previously taught in Ireland and in Hungary. After her return to France, she started instructing students in theFrench language through drama and acting, and developed special curricula based on this approach . She has also developed interactive instructional games for the Editions Didier website and has worked as the assistant editor of Echanges magazine ,published by the International Federation of Instructors of French. In addition to her passion for theater, Prof. Fonteneau enjoys lay-out, design and writing. D HIRSCH is an instructor of Management Accounting and Management Control Systems at ESLSCA. He also teaches Strategy, Finance and Financial Accounting at other international schools based in Paris. Besides teaching, he is a consultant in management control and finance at CEGOS, and acts as the General Secretary of Déduction; a market research agency. He is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and holds an MBA from INSEAD (France). Previously, he has held various positions in finance at Xerox, Pillsbury and EDF and as Finance Director at Inmac France. Mr. HIRSCH likes to play golf, listen to music, read and go to the movies. L HOLLOWAY is a photographer, designer, and art and creative director. She has worked in Canada and in Europe, where her work has been exhibited and published , and currently runs her Paris-based design practice working with an international clientele. Ms. Holloway received her BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design ( Canada). Awarded a full grant from the National Centre for Plastic Arts, she completed her MA at the National Institute of Typographic Research in Paris. Ms. Holloway has maintained an active pedagogical activity with various institutions: Parsons School of Design, The American University of Paris, L'Ecole de Communication Visuelle, and ESLSCA where she received the 2005 Outstanding Professor Award in the category of MBC courses. M HUNTER is a journalist, consultant and scholar. He is a Doctor of Information Sciences of the University of Paris II – Panthéon Assas, and the author of 5 books. He has won the Clarion, Sigma Delta Chi, Investigative Reporters and Editors , and H.C. Mencken Free Press Awards for his investigative reports and research on journalism. His articles have appeared in scholarly and news publications ranging from the TheNew York Times Magazine and The Wall Street Journal to TheHarvard International Journal of Press/Politics. D KEEFE was director of the Pre-MBA program at the University of Illinois prior to coming to France. Previously, he worked in sales and marketing at IBM, and also as director of production for an American lamp manufacturer. In France, he has taught Strategic Marketingas well as Entrepreneurship and International Marketing at HEC Paris, and English at l’Ecole Polytechnique. Currently he teaches at ESC Dijon (France), where he gives courses in International Business and Strategic Marketing. He is founder of BusinessCourses.Com, and LinguaFest, a festival of languages. Mr. Keefe has an MBA and an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Illinois (USA). D KESSELMAN teaches International Negotiating and International Political Economy at ESLSCA. She has consulted in and conducted seminars on contract negotiations in multinational corporations and banks over the last 15 years and recently published a book on the same topic. She also teaches and writes about the U.S. trade policy. Professor Kesselman has a BA from Cornell University (USA), a DEA from the University of Paris I – Sorbonne and a doctorate from the University of Paris VIII – St.Denis. She is a Maître de Conférences at the University of Paris X - Nanterre. B Labadie is an instructor of French Language and Culture. She grew up in Paris where she obtained her DEA from the University de Paris VII. After spending 10 years teaching French in New York City, she returned to Paris where she shares with students her passion for her native city and different aspects of the contemporary French culture. Over the years, Ms. LABADIE has developed novel methods of teaching French language by integrating French cuisine and music in the regular coursework. An avid learner, she is in the process of obtaining her MA in French as a Foreign Language from the University de Paris III – La Sorbonne Nouvelle. C LAMBRIDIS lectures in the fields of Organizational Behavior, Cross-cultural Communications and Human Resource Management. He received the 2002 ESLSCA Outstanding Professor Award in the category of elective courses. Prof. LAMBRIDIS obtained his BS in Business Administration from the American College of Greece ( Deree College) and his MA in Industrial Relations from the University of Warwick (UK). He has worked as a consultant in corporate communications and human resource management, specializing in the areas of recruitment and selection and performance management. He currently teaches full-time, and his personal interests include music, literature and basketball. B MARTIN is a multi-lingual professional with 15 years of experience in brand management, marketing communications, academia, and career advising. She holds an MBA from Thunderbird - the Garvin Graduate School of International Management ( USA) and a BA in Foreign Languages. She has worked with and for brands such as American Express, Ford, Citibank, DHL and Jaguar in the USA, Asia and Europe, holdingsenior level positions. She now lives in Paris where her career has taken a dual track that includes lecturing at the MBA and executive education level and as a Personal Brand Career Advisor, working with individuals in career transition. L NEULAT is the Admissions Officer of the ESLSCA MBA where she finds an opportunity to keep learning about other cultures as she builds from the diversity of the student body at the ESLSCA Graduate programs. Born in the USA to Uruguayan parents, she became a Clinical Psychologist in Colombia after studying Psychology in Uruguay. Later, she obtained a Master in Psychology in Paris in 1979, where she took her Clinical Psychologist License. Leaving private practice to follow her French husband, she and family called “home” places such as Colombia, Kenya, Iran, Iraq, China, Taiwan, Hong-Kong, and France where, upon settling, she became a cross-cultural facilitator. Ms. NEULAT is due to receive a doctorate in Cross-Cultural Psychology in 2006 from the University of Bordeaux. R OLORENSHAW , who is of British origin , has been living in Paris for 30 years. After graduating with a doctorate in Semiology and Sociology from the University of Paris VI – EHESS, he worked for a communications agency where he was responsible for the promotion of Scotland among potential inward investors. His other clients were in the food/drink and telecommunications sectors. He is the author or co-author of 6 books. His next title will be on European symbolism for Larousse. Prof. Olorenshaw teaches in the field of Communications at ESLSCA and also at graduate schools in the Czech Republic and Greece. He is on the Board of a Rambler's Association and takes a keen interest in philosophy and music. He even tries to play the piano. B VELIKSON ’s teaching career includes various fields of Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Statistics. After graduating from Leningrad University ( Russia), Prof. Velikson earned his PhD in Theoretical Physics at Brown University (USA). His research has involved problems in Quantum Field Theory on a Lattice and String Theory. He has also worked in Computer Simulation of Proteins. His academic and personal interests include Physics, Computer Science, reading, classical music, mountain hiking, and snorkeling. Above all, he values independent thinking. M L UHRICH has more than 30 years of experience in international business, sales, and marketing with an expertise in managing people and revitalizing organizations. Originally from Boston, he is a long time resident of Paris where he works as a teacher, consultant, and corporate trainer. He teaches at several business schools in Europe and the USA and is on the faculty of the Ecole de Management Léonard de Vinci (France) where he is responsible for the Business-to-Business Marketing program. He has a MS from Northeastern University (USA) and has studied in both the USA and in France in an executive program at INSEAD (France). C WULF lectures in the field of communication (Public Relations, Persuasion and Manipulation, Interpersonal Communication and Leadership). She received the 2004 ESLSCA Outstanding Professor Award in the category of new courses for the creation of her course on Persuasion. After her undergraduate degree at Smith College (USA), she received her MA in English and Communications at McGill University ( Canada), and completed a PhD in France. Her academic and personal interests include writing – she is currently working on a publication on Persuasion – counseling, cinema and reading.
